Our Approach
We provide bespoke support for children and young people with a neurodivergent diagnosis who face challenges accessing mainstream education.
Our provision is designed for those who are:

Struggling to attend school regularly

At risk of fixed-term or permanent exclusion

Experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
We currently support pupils in Years 1 to 6, many of whom are highly verbal, capable learners who encounter significant barriers in traditional educational settings.
Our cohort often presents with complex and layered needs, including:

Demand avoidant profiles, including features of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)

High levels of anxiety

Trauma associated with previous school experiences
Our Mission
Wirral Rise aims to offer a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children whose needs cannot be fully met in mainstream settings. It focuses on building trust, emotional regulation, and positive relationships through personalised support, consistent routines, and therapeutic approaches. By addressing barriers to learning—such as anxiety, communication difficulties, or trauma—the provision supports each child’s social, emotional, and academic development, with the long-term goal of reintegration into a suitable educational pathway.
